Referrals are necessary for Echocardiograms and Cardiac Consultations.

Patients who are discovered to have conditions requiring follow-up specialist care, are referred to a private cardiologist or to the Cardiology Department of the University Hospital of the West Indies, where a weekly outpatient clinic is held.

The screening services at The HFJ are headed by a Health Administrative Services Manager. These services are available from Mondays to Thursdays from 8:00am - 4:00pm and 8:00am - 3:30pm on Fridays.

A referral from a doctor is not necessary to access the screening services at the Foundation. This assists with the reduction of costs to the patients, thereby encouraging them to attend for a check-up. If a problem is identified, patients would then be referred as necessary.
